Hello There asked:
I have the total population for each state and then the number of deaths per 100,000 for each state should I divide the population by 100,000 then multiply that answer by the deaths per 100,000 to get an answer i.e if the population of Texas is 22,968,248 should i divide that by 100,000 and then multiply that answer by 237.8 (number of deaths per hundred thousand due to heart disease)?

I’ve never had any hear problems before but my heart felt weird today. I’m an active 20 year old healthy female. Today when I was just sitting down not doing anything my heart started feeling weird for like 5 seconds. It felt like it was vibrating. Sort of like it was just beating wicked fast. And then it went back to normal. What does mean???

Just Wondering asked:
I have very severe fibromyalgia and the Dr. has me take 8 10/325mg tablets of Percocet everyday. I have been doing this now for a few years and I was wondering what the long term effects could be? Can it cause you to have heart problems? The reason I’m asking is because I have been having chest pains the last few weeks. I had a stress test done and it came out fine. However my cholesterol is through the roof. Could the pain be related to high cholesterol?

Dan H asked: I was born with a sizeable hole in my heart. The doctors said that if the heart didn’t heal to at least a murmur by age 1, open heart surgery would be needed. Luckily, the heart healed to a murmur, by that time.
I am 33 years old and, by listening to the heart, a murmur is no longer detected. My concern, though, is - if I was born with a heart defect, could this cause problems later in life?

Laea asked:
Does it show up in blood tests, or in a physical examination?
Would symptoms go away then come back again?
Well no, she had blood tests, they are perfect, x-rays, heart looked great, physical exam, no murmer, vet said she is healty, TONS of energy, however, coughs (sounds like clearing something from throat) when playing with her ball, or has had the ball in her mouth for a while. Sometimes, she will dry heave with nothing coming out.
She only does this cough thing, once a day sometimes not even everyday.
She eats like a piggy, and does not drink too much. She is a dachshund, 11 months old.
