Heart Problems
Farzina Naznin asked:

Heart disease is a very common disease which is affecting approximately around more than 7% of the population. The most common from of heart disease is known as arteriosclerosis. Arteriosclerosis form of heart disease usually leads to heart attack in the patient. This form of heart disease is characterized by a sudden process where the arteries often get hardened. Besides arteriosclerosis, there are also some other forms of heart disease which are often found to be very much deadly. Cardiomyopathy is yet another form of heart disease which impairs the heart’s function. Cardiomyopathy form of heart disease often damages and weakens the heart. But the most important and the most dangerous from of heart disease is that which eventually damages the entire functioning of the heart. It may start from a simple form of throat infection which when not taken care of or when not treated may lead to the ultimate damage of the heart valves.

Heart disease may be any one among the various types but more importance should be given to its symptoms. The symptoms which are related with various forms of heart disease may be enumerated as below:

• The most common symptom of a heart disease is a slight pain or pressure on the chest and often sometimes might be a devastating sensation which can be felt at the rear end of the breast bone.

• Pain which may also be experienced in the arms, shoulder or legs may also be considered as certain virtual symptom of heart disease.

• The pain may last for a longer period of time. Sometimes heart medications or even rest cannot lessen the heart problem or the pain. But yes, though it may sound ridiculous narcotic drug can help in overcoming of the pain in the heart.

• Heart disease symptoms can also be experienced when there is cold sweat coming out of the body.

• Heart disease can be accompanied with symptoms like nausea and lack of proper inhaling.

• Certain indigestion problems may also cause heart disease.

• Obesity can also lead to the formation of heart disease.

Heart disease is a global problem. Heart disease may often lead to heart attack. Heart attack is also known as myocardial infarction in the medical term. Heart attack usually occurs when the blood pressure gets high and there is the sudden stoppage of the supply of blood to the different parts of the body. So effective care and medical treatment should be meted out to the heart patients.

Heart Problems
Helene Rothschild asked:

as terrified that she was going to die. She was trapped in her bed with severe heart problems. For seven years, she was struggling with an abusive husband. Even though her condition was treated with operations, medication, and regular doctor visits, Lisa was getting worse.

The 66-year-old woman had not been dealing with her emotional pain. When the heart is having a problem, the emotional causes are issues about love. A healthy heart expresses self-love, and love for and from others. Whereas, self-hate, hurt, rejection, verbal and physical abuse, can be contributing factors to heart problems.

To heal her heart condition, it is important for Lisa to have a healthy diet, exercise appropriately, reduce stress, overcome addictions, and be treated by a medical professional. However, it is also vital to heal her childhood pain, love herself, and create a healthy, loving relationship.

Lisa was able to release her anger at her husband constructively by imagining that she was beating up a pillow and expressing what she was furious about. Then she forgave him and felt compassion. Lisa realized that he was wounded emotionally, and he was acting out his pain that had nothing to do with her. She understood that she would feel better if she stayed in her loving heart and did not take what he said or did personally. She also did the same healing with her abusive father, brother, ex-boyfriends and two ex-husbands.

The retired school counselor felt happier and had more energy. In fact, Lisa was able to get out of bed and go outside to shop and see friends. She was planning how she could leave her abusive marriage. Lisa no longer felt trapped in bed or in her relationship.

Another example of emotional problems causing physical heart disease is forty-year-old Mike’s story. The business man was stressed about his failing company and marital problems. His wife wanted a divorce. Mike’s doctor had prescribed medication and expressed his concerns about his heart.

Mike was able to heal the childhood pain he had from abusive parents and previous rejecting women. He was also able to hear his wife’s complaints and make positive changes. Mike’s heart improved and he was able to reduce his medication. He was ecstatic when he received an optimistic prognosis from his doctor.

The above men and women are examples of the many people who were successful in improving their heart conditions and/or probably preventing heart disease by dealing with their emotional pain. When they released their fears and anger and loved themselves, they had a healthier emotional and physical heart. As a result, they were able to avoid or leave abusive relationships and attract loving ones. They also enabled themselves to live happier lives and to most likely extend their healthy, active years.

Heart Problems
Peter sams asked:

Introduction

Heart disease is a general term that refers to a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions that affect one or more of the components of the heart.. Diseases affecting the heart may be structural or functional. Anything that damages the heart or decreases the heart’s supply of oxygen, makes it less efficient, reduces its ability to fill and pump, will disrupt the coordinated relationship between the heart, kidneys, and blood vessels and will harm not only the heart but the rest of the body as well.

Heart disease is any disorder that affects the heart’s ability to function normally. The most common cause of heart disease is narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart itself.

Heart Failure- Heart failure is a condition in which the heart can’t pump blood the way it should. In some cases, the heart can’t fill with enough blood “Heart failure” doesn’t mean that your heart has stopped or is about to stop working. However, it’s a serious condition that requires medical care. Heart failure is also called congestive heart failure, or CHF. “Congestive” means fluid is building up in the body because the heart isn’t pumping properly.

Treatment

Treatment of the Cause: If the cause of heart failure is a narrowed or leaking heart valve or an abnormal connection between heart chambers, surgery can often correct the problem. Blockage of a coronary artery may require treatment with drugs, surgery, or angioplasty Antihypertensive drugs can reduce and control high blood pressure. Antibiotics can eliminate some infections. Treatment of a stomach ulcer or use of an iron supplement may correct anemia. Drugs, surgery, or radiation therapy can be used to manage an overactive thyroid gland, and thyroid hormones can be given to manage an under active thyroid gland.

Heart Tumor

Heart Tumors that arise from the normal tissues that makes up theheart. This is in contrast to secondary tumors of the heart, which are typically either metatastic from another part of the body, or infiltrate the heart via direct extension from the surrounding tissues.

Treatment

A single small noncancerous primary heart tumor can be surgically removed, usually resulting in a cure. If a large noncancerous primary tumor is significantly reducing blood flow through the heart, removal of the part of the tumor that does not grow into the heart wall may improve heart functionabout half of newborns who have noncancerous rhabdomyomas, tumors regress without treatment; in the other half, the tumors do not grow any larger and do not require treatment. In infants and children, a fibroma may be successfully removed if it does not affect the wall between the ventricles (septum). Tumors that affect this wall usually also affect the electrical conduction system of the heart and cannot be surgically removed.

Angina pain-Chest pain that originates from the heart muscle is called angina pectoris. Angina is a signal that the heart muscle is not getting sufficient blood flow, specifically sufficient oxygen. Lack of oxygen is termed ischemia. Blood flow is most often reduced by coronary artery disease (CAD), which causes a narrowing of the arteries that carry blood to the heart muscle. Narrowing in the coronary arteries occurs as a result of calcium and fatty deposits, called plaques. In more severe cases, heart attack (myocardial infarction), heart failure, or rhythm abnormalities can cause sudden cardiac death.

Treatment

Severe atherosclerotic narrowing of one or more coronary arteries is responsible for myocardial ischemia and angina pectoris in most patients with stable angina pectoris. The coronary arteries of patients with stable angina also contain many nonobstructive plaques, which are prone to fissures or rupture resulting in presentation of acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, myocardial infarction, sudden ischemic death). In addition to symptomatic relief of symptoms and an increase in angina-free walking time with antianginal drugs or revascularization procedures, the recent emphasis of treatment has been to reduce adverse clinical outcomes (coronary death and myocardial infarction).

Heart Problems
Chris Schaller asked:

Lipistat is a entirely natural formula that when used in combination with exercise and the reduction of the intake of saturated fats, can significantly reduce your risk for heart disease.

Heart disease kills more people than cancer each year. There are 910,000 deaths every year from cardiac vascular disease. that is one death every 35 seconds. Another staggering statistic is that there are more than 70 Million people that have cardiac vascular disease and don’t even know it.

If you get tired walking up a few steps, if you have pain in your chest, if you feel a generally fatigued feeling, These are the signs you should be aware of. You need to consider your physical conditioning, you have to look into this, you have to go see your doctor and get an idea of what is going on.

There is allot of discussion about cholesterol being the leading cause or factor leading to heart disease, but for years now, These cholesterol reducing drugs have been on the market. They are pushed on the consumer, but still the leading cause of death in America is Heart Disease. Surely Cholesterol is a contributing factor. High cholesterol levels are never beneficial, but as we can see, it is not the only factor and there are other issues we should consider.

If you think you could be a candidate for heart disease, wouldn’t you like to try to give yourself the best chance of healing our body naturally before considering drugs or surgery. Think about it, drug companies make (life style) drugs they expect you to take the rest of your life. They don’t want you to die to young, but they want you to stay sick for long periods of time and take their drugs. If they cure you, they cant keep selling you the drug. Every year, every physician receives a “physicians desk reference”, a manual about 3 inches thick that has the A to Z of every drug out there. Almost all the drugs in this manual are “life Style” drugs. They are not CURES! Drug companies don’t make cures.

science now understands what you need to do to lower your risk for coronary disease and sudden cardiac death, such as heart attacks and stroke. these are the points that we are really concerned about. Its all about how your quality of life is better and weather you live longer. This is what is really important.

The way we focus in on this and do something about it, is to reduce the total amount of saturated fat in the diet. Lard, Butter, crisco. In conjunction with that, exercise and becoming physically active is a necessity. Now we also have natural measures that we know of, that science has acknowledged and even the FDA has tipped their hat as to the legitimacy and validity of the active ingredients.

There are natural active ingredients, that can be used, that are found in the lipistat formula that can be used in conjunction with the reduction of intake of saturated fats and exercise that will considerably reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, heart attacks and stroke.

Lipistat’s is a 3 fold theoretical mechanism that eases the circulation, thus reducing the plaque, reducing the uptake of cholesterol in the digestive tract and also combining that with synergistic ingredients that are known to be crucial in reducing the risk of primary heart problems.

Combining Lipistat with the life style modifications mentioned, reduction in the total intake of saturated fat and a moderate exercise program is a very powerful measure for reducing your risk for Heart Disease.

Lipistat is specially formulated with specifically determined levels of natural ingredients so as to be the only formula you will ever need to address reducing your risk for primary heart problems. If you are one of those people that throw together fish oils and vitamins and special ingredients that are understood to reduce your risk for heart problems, Lipistat is what you have been waiting for.

Peter Kent asked:

DRUGS THAT HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH HEART PROBLEMS

Zelnorm

Zelnorm, a medication that was prescribed to women that were being treated for irritable bowel syndrome accompanied with constipation, as well as, patients that were under the age of 65 years old and had chronic constipation, has been attributed to the increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and worsening chest pains than patients that did not take Zelnorm.

Bextra

Bextra has been prescribed to patients that have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or painful menstrual cycles and is classified as a COX-2 selective NSAID that has been linked to have an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Ortho evra

Unlike a common form of birth control that is taken orally, Ortho Evra is a form of birth control patch that introduces and removes the hormones into and out of the blood stream a different manner exposing women to about 60 percent more estrogen which has been found to lead to an increase in the risk of blood clots, strokes, and more seriously, death.

Phen fen

Phentermine and Fenfluramine, or Phen-Fen, are two separate drugs that were combined together into one single medication used to decrease appetite and help give the feeling of increased satiety and taken by people that suffer from obesity to help effectively aid in weight loss, yet, was pulled from the market after the drugs were linked to cause primary pulmonary hypertension and valvular heart disease.

Ephedra

Ephedra(r) is a dietary supplement that is marketed as a natural product that claims to help with such things as weight loss, increased energy, and enhanced athletic performance, but has since been found to actually be the cause heart attacks, strokes, eizures, rapid and irregular heart rhythms, increased blood pressure, chest pain, psychosis, tremors, and death.

Adderall

Adderall is a prescribe medication for the treatment of attention deficit disorder, or ADD, but has also been known to cause psychological side effects, and with any misuse of the drug, can even lead to sudden death due to the onset of heart attacks and strokes.

Paxil (heart birth defects)

Paxil is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, or SSRI, type of antidepressant that has been discovered to cause birth defects when prescribe to pregnant women, and even been associated with increased suicidal tendencies in adults and children.

DEVICES THAT HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH HEART PROBLEMS

Many medical devices that were manufactured for the intent to help patients suffering from heart problems have recently been linked to more counter-productive problems in patients that have used them. Two of the nation’s top manufacturers, Medtronic with its defibrillators, and Guidant with pacemakers, as well as, defibrillators, have had to recall some of the medical devices that were implanted in patients due to faultiness and malfunction.

Along with these medical devices that are being pulled from use in patients with heart problems, drug eluting stents that are placed within the coronary artery to help keep a continuous blood flow to the heart, have also been recalled due to the arterial wall damage that is done by the placement of the stent.

Medtronic models

Medtronic is the nation’s leading maker of heart implant devices that are used in people who are at risk of going into cardiac arrest, and whose most recent defibrillator models have been prone to have a defect in the lead wires that connect to the defibrillator, and which carry electric impulses to the heart, causing the defibrillator to deliver unnecessary shocks or to not even operate at all.

Guidant models

Guidant Corporation who manufactures pacemakers that send electrical impulses to help accelerate a slow heart beat, and defibrillators that are small implanted devices placed in the body for the function of regulating the heartbeat in patients with a risk of heart problems, has recalled both the pacemakers and the defibrillators due to short circuiting of the devices resulting in death of some the patients using the faulty devices.

Sprint Fidelis models

The Sprint Fidelis model of defibrillators that are manufactured by Medtronic and are implanted in over 250,000 patients, have been recalled due to faulty electrodes that have been found to malfunction leading to an unnecessary electrical jolt to the heart, or for the life saving device to completely fail altogether.

Drug eluting stents

A drug eluting stent is a latticed metal scaffold placed within the coronary artery for the purpose of keeping the vessel open and aiding in the adequate flow of blood to the heart, but unfortunately, actually has an adverse effect by causing blood clots that lead to the arterial wall being damaged.

Heart Problems
Tony Jacowski asked:

Anxiety or panic attacks can heart problems which is anything related to the cardiovascular system of your body. The leading causes of heart attacks or other cardiovascular issues among North Americans today is anxiety attack heart problems which is not surprising given the nature of a panic attack. It is easy to measure the effects a panic or anxiety attack has on the heart and blood flow which is why it is more noticeably dangerous than the effects on the other systems of the body.

A person in the mood of the moment can be paralyzed during the sudden onset of a panic attack when the fear or other terror causes frightening symptoms. To a large degree an anxiety attack resembles the notion many people report of being “frozen by fear”. The great difficulty of a panic attack causes symptoms that the patients discuss as being shaking, trembling, chills, numbness in extremities, heart palpitations and trouble breathing.

Since heart problems are closely associated with stress it is common to have anxiety attack heart problems. Because of a close relationship in bodily functions and systems any heart disease or cardiac condition that causes a drop in blood pressure can accompany anxiety. In fact this causes a sudden decrease in the amount of blood being pumped by the heart which is a decrease in cardiac output. A condition called mitral valve prolapse or MVP is also closely related to anxiety, but it is not the cause.

The “fight or flight” response is a common human response generated by panic attacks. Early human types either fled danger or took it on if they could and it is said our current response evolved from this. Because of the energy the body needs to perform either task there are a lot of biological processes involved in the fight or flight response. Typically when the body experiences this reaction the heart races, the blood quickens, the eyes function differently, senses are heightened and other parts of the body begin to react in other ways such as muscle tightening.

If the heart is being told to work too fast by the part of the brain that is in charge of the “fight or flight” mechanism, then anxiety attack heart difficulties can arise. Since it’s easier on the systems involved, at this time the body often decides simply to shut down. As a result the virtual gamut of both beating faster and beating slower is run by the heart as it attempts to calm the body down and slow blood flow one moment and then speeding the body up and creating more blood flow next.
