Sally T asked:
My paternal grandmother lived to be 83 years old despite having coronary artery disease and chronic atrial fibrillation for “years and years” as stated on her death certificate. Her official cause of death was stated as “congestive heart failure”. What I don’t understand is how my grandmother could live a relatively long life with her heart problems, yet my dad died from a massive heart attack at only age 53?

I am 18, don’t do drugs or alcohol, but I am a little overwieght I admit. I do like to drink caffeine rich pop and energy drinks sometimes, too. I was just sitting in the car the other day and felt some mild discomfort in my chest, like it seems right where my heart is. It lasted for a while, but it seemed like when I don’t think about it, it goes away. Should I be worried about a heart attack?

My family has a lot of history with heart problems, my father has had a heart attack about 5 years ago and my grandfather died of one. High cholesterol also runs on both sides of my family, I’m only 17 but how can I reduce my risk and become healthier?

It has been hurting in my chest since yesterday on and off! It feels tight and at times a really sharp pain and then I rest and it seems better! IDK! I have just been praying and asking others to pray! I am 36 years old! I would not think something could be wrong with my heart! I am under a bunch of stress right now!
I dont have any money to go to the doctor!

And were you not afraid of having a heart attack while doing the procedure. I am scheduled for a treadmill type due to a previous heart problem and am rather apprehensive about the whole thing.

george d asked:
I’ve felt pressure in the heart for over a month now. I’m not sure if that is because I pay too much attention there or because I really have problems. I’ve also been feeling soreness in both sides of the parts right under the jaw. It feels like a growing pimple but I don’t think thats it. I just tried jumping, and after a few hundred jumps, I realize that the sound of my breathing is weird, sounds like air is going through another tube, but it doesn’t affect my breathing at all. However, after a few seconds, I start feeling slight discomfort in my heart or maybe left lung. I’ve gone to two doctors, and both doctors say it has nothing to do with a heart attack, but I’m still quite concerned. I am 16 years old by the way, any suggestions?

I have not been able to find any information on wether people with health problems should take alli. My aunt and mother are taking alli but are concerned about having health problems. Does alli increase the chances of a heart attack? Is it ok for people with heart problems to take it?
